It's an Olive Garden. What did you expect? Well that's what you get. Unfortunately, this place is way too popular for its own good. The wait time is ridiculous on weekends. Arrive by 4pm to attempt to get seated right away. Forget it after 5pm. Also, they allow smoking in their bar, which is right next to the hostess desk and waiting lobby. The smoke wafts through. Not good. They also don't do phone-ahead seating or reservations, and lots of locals like to bring huge groups with no warning, so be prepared to wait. A long time. Overall, however, the Olive Garden is always a good deal for good food for not a lot of money. Service at this Olive Garden is particularly nice. Never had a problem with the food. Love the zeppole. Don't bother with a mixed drink: it's all ice and juice.

I was too excited to try the Zeppoli dessert. I was expecting what I saw on the picture in the restaurant. Pretty disappointed. At best, they were warm with what appeared to be some type of cinnamon sugary substance and not the powered sugar that i expected (from what is shown on the picture in the restauran). Looks like I have to wait to go to Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans, La to get REAL Italian Beignets. I should have known. Thankful i only spent my money on one order. I'll stick with the soup, salad & breadsticks!!!! Thanks

Typically olive garden. It opened up pretty recently, and when it first opened, I was really impressed that an olive garden was doing such a good job! Now the opening crew is gone, and the food is overpriced and generally crappy.

I know that this is a large chain however this restaurant is head and shoulders above any other Olive Garden that I have been to around the country. On a busy Friday dinner crowd our group of 3 was seated immediately. The wait staff was super, he made great suggestions based on what we told him we were looking for. The food was not only presented well it tasted GREAT! Based on this experience this will be a stop on my next trip to Bowling Green , KY.

When you get an hankering for Zuppe Toscano only Olive Garden will fit the bill either a small appetite grab with salad or large appetite pair with a pasta..with always the tasty breadsticks.

Good food, good price, good environment. Nick Yeast was an awesome server. I'll be asking to sit in his section from now on.

If it is dinner time and you are nearing Bowling Green Kentucky as I was, I would recommend stopping in to the good ol' Olive Garden. Located just off of I-65, the Olive Garden is our go-to spot when traveling. The food is all the same, Olive Garden to Olive Garden but what stands apart in my mind is the service. Hubs and I typically sit at the bar because the service is immediate and we are in and out in under 45 minutes. You get prime seating, right in front of the television.

It's high priced pasta that you can have at home for about 1/8 the price. My own home made spaghetti recipe (not sauce from a jar) is as good or better, and I can make and eat it in the amount of time I have to wait for a table. If it's up to me, I'll spend the same money on a good steak elsewhere.

Not bad. My mother and grandmother met us there... too bad they showed up an hour early. They forgot about the time change from Louisville to Bowling Green, so they spent forty-five minutes wondering where my family and I were. The appetizers were good, the salad was fresh and tasty, the soups were good. Even the desserts worked out. Staff was friendly, and the place was clean. Nothing to complain about from what I can tell...

You know I'm not going to review this restaurant according to any Italian standards but if you are in Bowling Green it is worth checking out. We went there twice within our week trip to Mammoth Cave and never had any problem with the service. Food came out in a timely fashion and the service was good. If you ask me the food is the most important, yes the experience may not be as good but at the end of the day you want a decent meal? Well the food is pretty good here! (Don't expect Zagat rated fine dining) Got the apricot chicken and their salads are also good and the portions are filling. Really if you are visiting from out of town you should visit this place at least once, because there are some bad restaurants in Bowling Green and you could do much worse. No real complaints here. As far as a chain restaurant goes, it is as good as it gets.

It's Olive Garden. What do you expect? I will say that we had a great server tonight. She was getting pulled in different directions. Her coworkers were also asking her to do things for them and she did it with a smile....a fake smile but she did it. I would not have been as gracious.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
